HR architect and management thinker
Benjamin Chaminade is an international expert in Talent Attraction and Engagement Management. He is an author, public speaker and is a highly creative original thinker, prepared to challenge the status quo in order to enable both organizations and individuals to maximise their capabilities and to embrace the future.
His visually provocative presentations captivate and entertain his audiences, with his unique French-Australian background and passion for what he does. Labeled a ‘management trendsetter’ by the Australian press, Benjamin continues to explore new ways of working in the 2.0 world and to support his clients in adopting new approaches such as ‘MashUp management’ or "ManaDJ".
Benjamin is the founder of GenerationY 2.0, having studied and worked with Generation Y and generational interaction extensively across the continents in the last 5-6 years, and being the first to bring this to Europe.
Benjamin Chaminade began his career as an Attraction Manager at Disneyland Paris managing a multicultural team of up to 80 people. Here he found out very quickly that culture and Human Resources were the keys to an efficient organization.
He quickly set up his first company and went on to work for French companies in a number of talent attraction and development areas in both corporate and consulting roles including psychometrics, talent planning, recruitment and retention strategies. It was during this time that Benjamin discovered that a large amount of employees were occupying positions that didn’t fit their expectations and match their interest, not even to mention the consequences on their engagement and motivation! This experience inspired him to grow to an international level.
As head of an HR laboratory, he observed employees and helped to identify their ideal job role. His knowledge was collected from 10,000 people, from 15 countries, met in face to face interviews, panel discussions and focus groups spanning across four continents.
His presentations and work as Director of Generation Y 2.0 come from these amazing surveys, stories and examples of management practices and employee expectations from around the world.
Benjamin is a bestselling author of 9 management books, with more in development. “HR as a key element in a quality culture”, his last book has been elected “Best Management and Performance Book”. This prize crowned his career as an author and reflected the type of work showcased with his earlier books, which are also best sellers:
